Maldives Transport and Contracting Company Limited (MTCC) successfully completed nine projects and mobilized an additional 64 during the second quarter of this year.
According to MTCC’s Q2 report, the company managed a total of 313 projects, spanning harbor and airport construction, shore protection, dredging and reclamation, roads, buildings, and causeways.
Building on last year’s strong operational performance, nine projects reached successful completion, while 64 new projects were mobilized throughout the quarter. Furthermore, 35 projects were awarded during this period, with a combined value of USD 92.1 million.
MTCC posted a net profit of USD 1.81 million in the second quarter, marking a significant turnaround from the losses incurred in the previous quarter. This recovery was driven by continued strength in the company’s construction and land reclamation divisions.
The financial report also highlighted a total income of USD 31.79 million, representing a 17.7 percent increase compared to USD 27.12 million in the first quarter. This revenue growth supported the overall improvement in profitability.
