President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has announced that work on Sh. Feydhoo’s long-delayed school project will restart soon.
Speaking with Feydhoo residents this morning, the President said the project, which includes new classrooms and a multipurpose hall had stalled for nearly two years. He said the government will now fast-track construction with full priority.
President Muizzu also signed two new agreement, one for coastal protection and another for road development. He said both projects are key to improving daily life on the island.
He confirmed that 24 hour healthcare services will begin soon at the island’s Health Centre. Staffing and plans for an extension building are being finalized.
The President also revealed plans to build a new handball court this year and upgrade the existing futsal and football grounds. The island powerhouse will be relocated to a new site.
In addition, Feydhoo will receive a new Police Station and a Council Secretariat funded through Chinese grant aid.
President Muizzu said the ideas shared by residents will shape how the government plans and delivers future projects for Feydhoo.
