Germany’s new Ambassador to the Maldives, Dr. Felix Neumann, presented his Letter of Credence to Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Abdulla Khaleel this morning.
During the meeting, Minister Khaleel congratulated Ambassador Neumann on his appointment and welcomed him to the Maldives. The two discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the Maldives and Germany, focusing on cooperation in climate change, education, tourism, and trade.
Minister Khaleel was joined by Minister of State Sheryna Abdul Samad, Secretary Dr. Hala Hameed, Senior Under Secretary Hassan Hussain Shihab, Senior Political Director Ahmed Haanee Naeem, and Deputy Desk Officer Khadeeja Aufiyau.
Officials expressed confidence that continued collaboration between the two countries will further enhance development partnerships and diplomatic engagement.
