Chinese Ambassador to the Maldives, Kong Xianhua, visited the Baiskoafu Museum on October 7, 2025, and praised its efforts to preserve and promote Maldivian culture.
Ambassador Kong toured the museum and called the visit a “fascinating experience.” He shared photos and reflections on X, highlighting the museum’s importance for both culture and tourism.
He wrote that preserving memory, history, and heritage is a shared responsibility and can create modern value by promoting Maldivian culture worldwide.
The Baiskoafu Museum showcases the country’s history and traditions. It is designed to welcome students, tourists, and the public. Once officially opened, each exhibit will have a barcode that visitors can scan to access detailed information.
Ambassador Kong thanked the museum’s team and expressed interest in future cooperation.
Former President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom also visited the museum in June. He praised Baiskoafu’s dedication to protecting the Maldives’ cultural heritage.
