Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) welcomed a group of students from Villa International High School to Velana International Airport for a special engineering tour, organised as part of the celebrations for the upcoming National Engineers Day.
The tour gave students the opportunity to observe the work of MACL’s engineering teams up close and learn how engineers contribute to the smooth operation of one of the country’s busiest transport hubs. By engaging directly with professionals in the field, students were able to gain valuable insight into the practical aspects of engineering in an airport environment.
Through the initiative, MACL aimed to spark curiosity and interest among young learners, encouraging them to consider careers in engineering and related technical fields. The company noted that such visits are important to inspire the next generation, while also highlighting the critical role engineers play in national development and modern infrastructure.
