The Elections Commission has begun distributing ballot boxes and electoral materials ahead of the 4 April vote.
The commission is supplying 347 polling centres for local council elections, WDC elections and a public referendum. Authorities are using both air and sea transport. Materials have been flown to several atolls and cities, while vessels are delivering supplies to others.
Most deliveries are expected to be completed tonight. Distribution in Kaafu Atoll is scheduled for 30 and 31 March.Maldives Police Service is assisting to ensure security during transport.
The commission has urged voters to verify registration details and confirm polling locations ahead of voting day.
