Indonesia has become the first country to ban Elon Musk’s AI chatbot Grok, citing concerns over the creation of indecent and harmful content.
The Indonesian government said the move aims to protect children and prevent the misuse of artificial intelligence to generate explicit images and videos. Authorities held talks with senior Grok officials before imposing the ban.
Other countries in Europe and Asia are now reviewing the platform and are preparing to introduce stricter regulations.
Elon Musk has previously said his company will take action against users who abuse Grok to commit misconduct.
