The city council has decided to close some roads in Male and Villimale at certain times on Friday mornings. Mayor Adam Azim proposed that certain roads in the city be closed from 5:30 am to 9:00 am on Fridays
The mayor said the decision was taken to give children the opportunity to play in the streets. He said the children will have the opportunity to live in a safe environment in the city.Therefore, Azim proposed to close down some roads in Male and Villimale on Friday morning.
In consultation with all councillors, the council decided to close the roads on Friday mornings. Azim said he would also consult with the police to close the roads.
