MTCC has completed 143 metres of inner seawall sheet piling under the Bodu Thakurufaanu Magu road development project.
The work covers the stretch from the Official Jetty to the Henveiru Ferry Terminal, marking the first phase of sheet piling in the current zone. MTCC has said construction is ongoing across four segments of Phase 1, which will upgrade 700 metres of roadway.
The project includes road expansion, drainage, tarmac surfacing, pavement and street lighting. Sidewalk works and additional sheet piling are also in progress.
A separate 380-metre section of Bodu Thakurufaanu Magu has already been completed and opened, improving traffic flow and pedestrian access.
